Lake Arrowhead

Lake Arrowhead is located in a magnificent forest of pine and cedar at an altitude of approximately 5,100 feet.  The 784 acre deep blue lake is described as the "Jewel of Southern California".  Located just 90 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, it's just minutes away, but a world apart.  Many motion picture studios have used this area as a backdrop for movies.  For your convenience CLICK HERE to view a MAP of the area.

Lake Arrowhead itself is not a city.  Instead it consists of Lake Arrowhead Village and several small surrounding communities which include: Twin Peaks, Blue Jay, Crestline and Running Springs.  All of these small communities are nestled within 812,000 acres of San Bernardino National Forest, giving the area a very tranquil small town feeling.

Besides Lake Arrowhead, there are several other lakes in the area.  Lake Gregory is the next largest and sits only 7 miles to the west of Arrowhead.

Lake Arrowhead has a unique climate for Southern California with four distinct seasons.  It has sunshine 85% of the year.  In the summer the average temperatures are generally in the 80s.  Spring is especially lovely, with dogwoods in bloom, and the weather is usually sunny.  In the fall, dogwoods and oaks paint the area in a scenic array of reds, yellow and orange.  Winter on the mountain features occasional snowfall with temperatures rarely below 30º.

Activities in the area include: hiking, fishing, row boating, ice skating, bowling, boat tours, and we're minutes away from snow skiing.  Also there are a variety of antique shops and interesting art galleries.
